About

The Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses are within Brockwell Park. Once they were council nurseries. Now they’re a green-pennant-winning site aimed at providing an opportunity for people who live in Southwark and Lambeth to learn about and get involved in growing food.  All the work is done by volunteers under the auspices of a charity set up for the purpose, and all the produce is sold to raise funds to keep the Greenhouses going.

The beehives are run by the London Beekeepers Association who are onsite on nearly every Sunday afternoon throughout the year for informal demonstrations, talks and advice. The exact times the Greenhouses are open to the public vary a little throughout the year. In summer, it’s from 1pm to 5pm, and in winter from 12 noon to 4pm.
